Last week, the capital’s Expo Center “Sergi Kosgi” hoste XIV International universal exhibition “White City – Ashgabat”. Already traditional, the forum is assigned to demonstrate the achievements and developmental prospects of the Turkmen capital in the sphere of town building and to determine the key trends of cooperation in the sector. Almost 130 state-run and private companies and enterprises (over 40 - foreign ones) were presented at the forum. From exhibition to exhibition, the number of its participants, as well as the range of business proposals, increases constantly. The organizers of the exhibition are also traditional – the khyakimlik of Ashgabat city and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. They offer the broadest diapason of themes: from construction and architecture to power engineering, light industry and design. In a word, everything that is included into the concept of the latest technology-based improvement of the city’s life. Foreign guests evinced considerable interest in the stands of different ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan: industry, automobile, air and railway transport, communal services, trade and foreign economic relations, etc. Becoming firmly established in the national economy as a competitive partner, local businessmen demonstrated at the exhibition a broad range of trends of their activity. Foreign companies also took part in the reputable showcase of achievement and developmental prospects of the Turkmen capital. Turkish partners, for instance, prepared various-size models of the objects – administrative buildings, hotels, sport facilities which in the nearest future will appear in Ashgabat. The essence of the exhibition “White City – Ashgabat” – in its multi-planning approaches, for coordination and integration of efforts of numerous branches is necessary in order to create in the modern large city of the optimum vital environment and activity. High technology, as an integral part of the modern city development, received particular attention at the exhibition. Today, the innovations and know-how are actively introduced to every sphere of life of the capital – from the engineering-technical and economic objects to the socioeconomic, educational and cultural spheres.
