President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Head of John Deere Agriculture and Turf Division Markwart von Pentz, who arrived in Ashgabat for participation in the events on occasion of National Turkmen Horse Holiday. Having expressed the gratitude for spared time for the meeting, the guest congratulated the Head of the State on the holiday, having wished strong health, prosperity and new success for the sake of Turkmen nation to Turkmen leader. The businessman highlighted that John Deere is proud of the cooperation with our country, which is successfully developed for more than 25 year. It was mentioned that thousands units of various agricultural equipment of this brand have been supplied to our country for the years of cooperation. Design engineers of the Company systematically improve the models of equipment meeting the requirements of Turkmen farmers, the guest highlighted. Turkmenistan pays great attention to the expansion of the potential of agrarian sector, the Head of the country said, having stated that John Deere is one of the oldest and reliable partners of national agricultural complex and efficiency of the equipment provided by the Company is highly appreciated by our farmers. Training of Turkmen specialists, which is regularly held on the base of service centres of the Company in our country and training bases of manufacturing facilities, gives positive results. Innovative technical rearmament is an important aspect of the reforms implemented in national agricultural complex. Buying latest modifications of equipment with improved operational characteristics, we make the conditions for stable increment of volumes of agricultural production, the Head of the State said. During the conversation, the businessman expressed the interest of the Company in the expansion of cooperation as well as the list of agricultural equipment including modernized range of cotton and grain harvesters, various tractors supplied to our country, which entirely meets soil and climate conditions of Turkmenistan. The guest has also expressed the intent to support the training of Turkmen specialists, improvement of qualification of technical personnel and made proposal on introduction of advanced technologies and developments of the company. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our country aims at the modernization of equipment and facility base of agricultural industry in the context of the Programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2019 – 2025. It was highlighted that service of agricultural equipment is one of the most important aspects oflong-term cooperation.
