The Head of the State signed the Resolution, according to which the Institute of Biology and Medicinal Plants of the Academy of Sciences was divided into the Institute of General and Practical Biology and the Institute of Medicinal Plants. The Institute of General And Practical Biology was assigned under the jurisdiction of Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University while the Institute of Medicinal Plants to the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry. The Institute of General and Practical Biology of Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University for development of biology and biotechnology branches as well as deep study of flora was assigned as the successor of the Institute of Biology and Medicinal Plants of the Academy of Sciences. The Institute of Medicinal Plants for deep study of their medical features for production of medicine of the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry is assigned as the successor of the Institute of Biology and Medicinal Plants of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. The Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry, the Academy of Sciences are assigned to develop and approve the Draft Provisions on the Institute of Medicinal Plants and the Institute of General and Practical Biology in set order. The document also assigns the Ministry of health Protection and Medical Industry, the Academy of Sciences together with the Ministry of Justice to prepare and present the proposals on amendments and addendums of the legislation of the country following from this Resolution to the Cabinet of Ministers in one month period.
