President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation. Having cordially greeted each other, the Heads of two states exchanged the congratulation on New Year 2019, having wished health, great success in all beginnings and in joint work for the sake of Turkmen and Uzbek nations. The Presidents have also discussed priority directions of bilateral relations, which are based on unbreakable relations of friendship and goodwill as well as principles of equal beneficial cooperation. The leaders of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan highlighted high level of interstate dialog, its respectful character, which is indicated by previous important agreements and consultations between foreign ministries aimed at the achievement of specific results. At the same time, significant potential for further improvement of versatile partnership including in fuel and energy complex, industrial sector, transport and communication sphere, agriculture and other direction, implementation of new major joint projects meeting the objectives of economic prosperity of both countries and region in general has been noted. Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev have also noted the importance of stimulation of fruitful humanitarian and cultural contacts, which are integral part of interstate relations. During the conversation, the sides exchanged the opinions on topical subjects of regional and global agenda that presents mutual interest. In this regard, invariable commitment of both countries to agreed cooperation and mutual support under the UN, CIS and other international organizations for provision of universal peace, security and sustainable development has been highlighted. In the end of the conversation, having expressed the confidence that interstate dialog, which is based on historical and cultural similarity and old goodwill relations, would be developed further, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev have again congratulated each other on coming New Year and addressed the wishes of further prosperity and wealth to the nations of both countries.
