The programme of the Japanese Film Festival, held in the cinema theatre in the Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Centre in Ashgabat, includes five fictional and one animation films. The representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan, the specialists of the Ministry of Culture, the masters of arts, students, residents and guests to Ashgabat, who are interested in the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun and study its language, attended the festival opening ceremony. The films, created by Japanese cinematographers in 2013-2017 with the subtitles in the English and Russian languages, will be presented during the festival. Among them are “A Tale of Samurai Cooking” – a historical drama directed by Yūzou Asahara, the film adaptation of the popular graphic novel “Seto and Utsumi” directed by Tatsushi Omori and the animated film “Pop in Q” (directed by Naoki Miyahara), telling about the friendship and faith in miracles. The comedy “The Story of My Love” and the drama “The 100th Love with You”, as well as the biographical film tale about one of the most popular Japanese music groups “Momoiro Clover Z”. The festival, organized by the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Culture of our country, is held in the cinema theatre in the Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Centre till November 14.
