President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of People’s Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution “On rationalizing the provision of the population of Turkmenistan with electricity, gas, drinking water and table salt”. With the aim to achieve the sustainable and system-based development of the state in all spheres, to efficiently use the base resources as well as to further improve the social benefits, People’s Council of Turkmenistan decrees: 1. To approve the proposals initiated by the participants of the meeting of People’s Council, Turkmenistan on rationalizing the provision of social benefits in Turkmenistan and starting from January 1, 2019, provide the population of Turkmenistan with electricity, gas, drinking water and table salt on a paid basis at preferential prices. 2. The Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan to draft the regulatory legal acts on the fulfilment of Part 1 of the present Resolution and submit them to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration. 3. To consider to be outdated: 1) The Decision of People’s Council of Turkmenistan No. НМ-8, adopted on December 14, 1992 “On the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan No. 958 dated October 30, 1992 “On free consumption of electricity, gas and water by the Population of Turkmenistan” (the Gazette of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the year of 1992, No. 12, article No. 106) 2) Resolution of People’s Council of Turkmenistan No. КНМ-35 dated August 14, 2003 “On the free provision of electricity, gas, water and table salt to the population of Turkmenistan” (the Gazette of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the year of 2003, No. 3, article No. 15); 4. This Resolution comes into force starting from January 1, 2019.
