One-on-one talks between the leaders of Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic were held at the Oguzhan Presidential Palace Complex. The sides discussed key vectors of the interstate cooperation, outlined its priority areas both in trade and economics and humanitarian area, and also exchanged views on several pertinent regional and global issues of mutual interest. The restricted talks were followed by negotiations in expanded format, with the members of the official delegations of the two countries. This is the first visit to our country by President Sooronbay Jeenbekov as leader of Kyrgyzstan conducted at the invitation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The talks will be followed by the signing of bilateral documents: interstate agreements, programs of cooperation in various spheres and others. After that, the leaders of the two countries will make statements to the media. The program of visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic includes a visit to the Gypjak Mosque, the capital’s Olympic Village and the Ashgabat Textile Complex In the evening, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov will fly to Turkmenbashi where the Summit of the Heads of Founding Countries of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea will take place tomorrow.
