These days, independent neutral Turkmenistan is preparing to celebrate the 27th anniversary of independence. Thanks to ongoing wide-ranging programs, our people’s living standards and social conditions are improving, and significant progress has been made in all spheres. Together with all, the younger generation also contributes to the development of our country and to ensuring the welfare of the people. We attach great importance to the construction and commissioning of new social and cultural facilities, plants and factories, creation of jobs and perfection of talents of the younger generation in every region, city and district of the country, stated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his address. This year, that celebrates the slogan “Turkmenistan: Heart of the Great Silk Road”, cultural and recreational activities will give a new impetus to the study of monuments located along the Great Silk Road and the cultural heritage of our people; to the identification, collection, research and preservation of national values; and to the promotion of the rich history and the national heritage of our people. The Amul–Hazar 2018 international rally, the World Weightlifting Championship will multiply the importance of the year that celebrates the slogan “Turkmenistan: Heart of the Great Silk Road”, and become the striking evidence of wide international recognition of the principles of friendship and humanism declared by independent, neutral Turkmenistan, highlights the address. Yours songs must inspire our athletes towards victories. Art and sports are an invaluable asset of our society, and harmonious development of these spheres is our priority task. The people of Turkmenistan greatly admire the art of singing. Bagshy, the cultural mentors, have been inspiring our people, their songs celebrating the love for Motherland, unity, cohesion and creative enthusiasm. We will remain focused on developing the art of music, traditions of mentorship and promotion of our rich cultural heritage. I firmly believe that your new songs will contribute to the development of the Turkmen art of music. I extend to you my congratulations on your advancing to the final stage of the Ýaňlan, Diýarym! television contest, and the 27th anniversary of our country’s independence.
