President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received credentials from newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Jandos Asanov. Expressing sincere gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the diplomat conveyed the cordial greetings to the President of Turkmenistan on behalf of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who addressed the best wishes to the fraternal people of Turkmenistan. The diplomat noted that it was a great honour for him to represent his country in Turkmenistan that has long-term relations of friendship and fruitful cooperation with Kazakhstan. Conveying the warm greetings to the President of Kazakhstan, the Turkmen leader congratulated the diplomat on the appointment to the high post and wished him every success in the work to enhance the Turkmen-Kazakh dialogue. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the development of the close cooperation with all neighbouring countries, including Kazakhstan stood as a key priority of the foreign-policy course of neutral Turkmenistan. During the meeting, the Turkmen leader and his guest underlined the high level of the interstate relations that successfully develop in the bilateral and multilateral level, in the framework of the authoritative regional and international organisations. It was noted that Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan stood as strategic partners that is vividly proved by the relevant Agreement, signed in Astana in April, 2017 as well as a solid regulatory basis of cooperation. In this regard, the meeting participants focused on the significant potential for enhancing the efficient cooperation in the trade and economic area, the transport and communication sector, energy and a number of other promising areas. It was noted that humanitarian relations were an integral part of the bilateral relations. Based on the historical affinity of cultural and spiritual values of the peoples of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, these traditional relations are enriched with the new experience and content with every passing year. In conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Jandos Asanov assured the Turkmen leader that he would apply every effort to ensure the successful development of the interstate dialogue.
