President Gurbamguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on organizing the first session of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. In accordance with the Decree: 1. The first session of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan will be held in the Ruhyet Palace in Ashgabat on September 24-15, 2018. 2. To establish the steering committee to organize the first session of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan at the high level. 3. To approve: The membership of the steering committee to organize the first session of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan at the high level; The procedures for electing the members of the public to the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. 4. In accordance with the Regulations, specified in Point 3 of the Decree, the Halk Maslahaty in velayats and Ashgabat shall organize the elections of the members of the public to the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as to submit the list of the elected members to represent the velayats and Ashgabat in the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan till August 25, 2018. 5. The Mejlis of Turkmenistan shall provide the organizational and methodological assistance to velayat, etrap and city halk maslahaty in electing the members of the public to the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, preparing and holding the first meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, and coordinate these works.
