Expressing sincere gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the guest conveyed the warm greetings from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who cordially congratulated the Turkmen leader on his birthday. As was noted, Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the development of fruitful relations with fraternal Turkmenistan, which are filled with new content with every passing year. Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed the warm greetings to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, emphasizing that our country is also committed to the traditionally friendly dialogue with the neighboring state built on the principles of constructive mutually beneficial partnership. During the meeting, the Turkmen leader and his guest exchanged their views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation, which has a solid potential in the trade and economic sphere, in the transport and communications, energy and other sectors. In this context, it was noted that there are wide opportunities for the further enhancement of productive cooperation given to the agreements reached at the highest level, including the results of the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan in April this year. The strong direct ties between the regions of the two countries vividly testify to the progressive dynamics of the Turkmen-Uzbek partnership. The importance of enhancing the good-neighborly humanitarian contacts was also underlined. As was mentioned, nowadays, the mutual creative actions like the Days of Culture are held on a regular basis. The interstate cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere is strengthened, in particular, through higher education institutions that is supported by relevant documents. Good opportunities are also available for expanding contacts in the field of sports. As was noted, Uzbekistan supports all initiatives of our country in this area, including the International motor rally ""Amul-Hazar 2018"", and is ready to participate in this and other sports events.
