Last week, the Turkmen capital hosted the Exhibition of Export Goods of the Republic of Turkey, a traditional event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan with participation of the Turkish company “Meridyen Uluslararasi Fuarçilik”. This time, the sixth specialized exhibition has surpassed all the previous forums in richness of its themes and a number of participants, having become a large showcase of the friendly country’s industrial potential and export opportunities. The representative delegation of industrialists and entrepreneurs led by Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Exchanges of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the exposition. Over 160 companies - manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and machinery, innovative materials and technologies, including consumer goods, presented their exhibition stands in the “Sergi Köşgi” Expo Centre, having demonstrated their willingness to further deepen and intensify the fruitful mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan. Among the participants of the exhibition were also long-standing partners, who have extensive experience of joint work in such sectors of economy as construction, the road transport sector and communications, the power industry. Interestingly, a considerable number of exhibitors was made up of new participants, not only those, whose goods are actively supplied to Turkmenistan by Turkish building contractors and trade agents, but also the ones, who approached the prospective Turkmen market with their proposals for the first time. During the three-day forum, thousands of residents and guests of the capital, who evinced a huge interest in a wide range of goods, leading technologies and innovations of Turkish developers and manufacturers, visited the large-scale multi-sectoral exposition. The participating companies also made presentations in the course of the exhibition. Our local entrepreneurs, interested like their foreign colleagues in expanding the close contacts, working jointly over new projects and proposals, put forward during the exhibition, displayed a high level of business activity. The exhibition, showing a wide variety of export goods, technologies and services of Turkish manufacturers, has become a unique and striking illustration of the grandiose changes in our country, reflection of the large-scale programs aimed at strengthening Turkmenistan’s economic power. This year, the exposition of export potential of Turkish leading enterprises, specializing in machine building, high-performance construction equipment and different complex systems in the field of water and energy supply, building materials, including tubular goods, metal goods, plastic panels and component parts, finishing and isolation materials, has significantly widened thanks to new exhibitors. The stands of new participants displayed supermodern, high-tech household appliances and electronics, design furniture, office and home interior accessories, sports and educational equipment, home textile and ready-made clothes, household ceramics and cleaning products, cosmetic goods, playrooms and others. The key feature of the exhibition was participation of large Turkish companies and associations of industrialists and entrepreneurs, interconnected in this or that sphere of activity. Such a corporate approach enabled not only to display the potential of Turkish manufacturers more widely and fully, but also to reveal the diversity and specification of their goods, as well as to create conditions for establishing more efficient direct contacts with their Turkmen partners. The stands of industrialists and entrepreneurs, who specialize in food production - a significant part of Turkish export, were especially popular among visitors. Thus, the exhibition of export goods of Turkish manufacturers has become not only a showcase of multi-sectoral potential of Turkey’s economy, but also a venue for numerous meetings and fruitful negotiations with representatives of Turkmen state-run agencies, and entrepreneurs. Following their results, the parties concretized prospective areas for cooperation, established new contacts, and reached agreements, aimed at implementing joint projects in the future.
