We remember and honour the memory of those, who contributed to the Great Victory by their selfless labour on the home front. “We celebrate the Victory Day with special festivities and lay flowers to the memorial complex ""Halk hakydasy"" in Ashgabat, to the monuments to the fallen soldiers in the cities and villages of the country, we pay tribute to the compatriots, who did not return home from the battlefields and found eternal peace far from their native land”, said the Turkmen leader in his address. “Guided by the motto “The state is for a person!” we implement ambitious reforms, aimed at raising the level of the social and living conditions of our people and strengthening the international authority of sovereign Turkmenistan as a dynamically developing state. “We take care of every citizen of the country, and in particular, the war and labour veterans, who make a significant contribution to strengthening the unity and cohesion of the society, the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and humanism. Every year, on behalf of our government, the valuable gifts are presented to the war veterans and soldiers’ widows in honour of the Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War. Numerous benefits are provided to the war and labour veterans in recreation centres, sanatoriums, hospitals. “We are proud of our elders, who bring up true patriots, who urge young people to be conscientious, fair, to work hard, and to honour their parents”, emphasized the President of Turkmenistan.
