President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made speech at the VIII session of the International Ahalteke Equestrian Association in Ashgabat. It is the eighth anniversary of the establishment of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association this year. For this period, numerous associations of ahalteke horse breeding, legal entities and individuals from all over the world joined this structure. The Head of the State noted that at this moment, the Association includes 137 legal entities and individuals from 32 countries of the world and this number grows every year what reflects expanding scale of the cooperation. The work for further development of the world glory of ahalteke horses, which are the models of beauty and grace that were formed throughout the centuries in Turkmen land as the result of the selection, is carried out. This is visually indicated by the events organized on the Day of Turkmen Horse, which is widely observed in our country on the last Sunday of April every year. More than 300 representatives from different countries participate in celebration events this year. International beauty contest of ahalteke horses, scientific and practical conferences dedicated to topical objectives of horse breeding as well as the races and equestrian competitions are held in our country on occasion of the Day of Turkmen Horse. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited all delegates of the forum to take part in these events as well as to see large-scale work for modernization of equipment and facilities base of equestrian industry and sports in Turkmenistan.
