The President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution allowing the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs to hold, together with the International Weightlifting Federation, the World Weightlifting Championship in the Ashgabat Olympic Village on 28 October–10 November 2018. The composition of the Organizing Committee was determined in accordance with the document. The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs was tasked with approving, in coordination with the International Weightlifting Federation, the Regulations concerning the Holding the World Weightlifting Championship.
