Voting continues at elections of members of the Sixth Convocation of the National Parliament of Turkmenistan, people’s councils and local councils. According to the Central Election Commission, as of 13:00, 64.48 percent of the eligible electorate cast their vote at the election of the members of the National Parliament; 64.76 percent voted at the election of the members of provincial, district and municipal people’s councils; and 64.16 percent attended the election of the members of local councils. Current elections generated interest in many countries of the world. This is evidenced by the massive influx of visitors on the website of the Central Election Commission. As of 12 pm, 65 000 enquiries were made from Turkmenistan, and over 5.5 thousand – from the United States, Russia, China, Great Britain, Switzerland, Japan, Malaysia, France, Ireland, Italy, Brasil, Germany, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, Singapore, Turkey, the Czech Republic and the CIS countries. The elections are monitored locally by international and national observers.
