At the extended session of the Government on March 15, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov summed up the outcomes of the visit to Kuwait on March 13-14. The President of Turkmenistan highlighted that the talks with the Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-JAber Al-Sabah were held in the atmosphere of friendship, mutual respect and trust. The President expressed firm confidence that achieved agreements would open wide opportunities for further expansion of the cooperation between our nations. Turkmen – Kuwaiti high-level meeting is to bring the interstate relations to new level as well as would give strong impulse to the development of the cooperation in priority directions. During the negotiations, the sides exchanged the opinions on the subjects of the intensification of efficient partnership in such key segments of the economy as oil and gas complex, construction, energy, transport and communication sector, high technologies, science and education, the Head of the State continued. Opportunities of participation of big oil and gas companies, investment and financial structures of Kuwait in realization of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas line project, the construction of the Afghan part of which has been ceremonially launched recently, were also discussed during the meeting. Having noted the achieved agreement on the foundation of Joint Turkmen – Kuwaiti Committee on cooperation, Turkmen leader highlighted that this decision is supported by the signing of relative document. Taking geographic location of two friendly countries into consideration, the subject of the development of productive relations in transport and communication sector was one of the themes discussed at the meeting, the Head of Turkmenistan said. The President also highlighted that he has invited the Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to visit our country. Having given high appraisal to the outcomes of Turkmen – Kuwaiti high-level meeting, during which 10 intergovernmental documents have been signed, the President stated with delight that all set objectives have been achieved. Continuing the session, the Head of the State noted the efficiency and constructive character of the official visit to United Arab Emirates on March 13 – 14 that was also an important milestone in the history of interstate cooperation. In this context, it was highlighted that the talks with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of UAE Sheikh Muhammed Bin Zayed Al Nahayan were held in the atmosphere of friendship and understanding. Having highlighted that significance of achieved agreements, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the confidence that their practical realization would support further development of the relations between two friendly states and nations. Recently, the Head of the State continued, the construction of the Afghan part of transnational TAPI pipeline has been started. In this regard, the perspective of the participation of the leading oil and gas companies and financial structures of UAE in implementation of this project that is important for all countries of the region was one of the subjects of the talks. Further consolidation of humanitarian relations especially in science, education, culture and art was outlined among the perspective directions. Seven documents signed by the outcomes of the talks between Turkmenistan and United Arab Emirates that have supplemented legal base of bilateral agreements will support the activation of fruitful partnership. Having highly appraised the outcomes of the official visit to friendly country, during which all set objectives have been met, the President noted that he has invited the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of UAE, Sheikh Muahmmed Bin Zayed Al Nahayan to visit our country.
