President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the temporary military training area of the air defense forces and inspected the technological infrastructure and potential of the air forces. As is known, the President of Turkmenistan regularly inspects the progress of the modernization and reformation of the law enforcement agencies of the country, the current situation in the military and law enforcement agencies, the samples of new equipment, paying particular attention to the creation of the favourable conditions for the members of the armed forces. During a recent trip to the Balkan Velayat, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the complex of buildings of the Avaza frontier post that replenished the infrastructure of the State Border Service. The Turkmen leader was presented with combat and patrol ships, boats, various types of special equipment intended to protect the maritime boundaries. Last month, the Turkmen leader inspected the progress of works on strengthening the material and technical potential of the air forces, visiting the airbase, where he personally tested a new military helicopter. The Turkmen leader also visited the temporary military training area of the air defense forces. Early in the morning, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected a new armed vehicle in the air, and then made a trip around the surrounding territories, driving a special purpose vehicle. Driving the multi-purpose four-wheel drive vehicle, the President tested its high-speed qualities, acceleration and maneuverability in tough terrain. While assessing the capabilities of the vehicle of the good cross-country ability, the Turkmen leader, nevertheless, gave comments to the military and law enforcement officials on the specific technical features of the motor vehicle that must be taken into account when acquiring the next batch of vehicles for the needs of the army. Noting that the military units of independent neutral Turkmenistan are regularly equipped with modern technical means with the aim to strengthen the material and technical base, the President underlined the importance of scientifically based theoretical training and practical exercises to ensure the continuous improvement of the professional skills of defenders of the borders, the officer corps, who have a huge responsibility for the fate of their people, for the peaceful sky above their heads. The renewal and modernization of the military arsenal is the most important aspect of the military reform, aimed at maintaining the country's defense capability at the proper level. The festive military parade in honour of the 26th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence demonstrated the increased power of the Armed Forces of the country, which is subordinated exclusively to peaceful purposes. Much attention is paid to the ammunition, military uniform and equipment of soldiers of various arms. The modern army, equipped with complex combat equipment, is inconceivable without competent specialists who know the science and art of military affairs. In training the personnel for the National Army, it is necessary to give priority attention not only to combat training, but also to educational and patriotic work, to raising the general educational level of young specialists, who will not only master modern sophisticated equipment but also solve organizational and tactical issues.
