Our sportsmen won two bronze medals at the 8th Indoor Field and Track Asian Championship in Iran (the Islamic Republic of Iran). Final day of the competition was productive for our athletes. Second grade student of National Institute of Sports and Tourism I. Velikhanova contested in pentathlon for Turkmenistan. After four disciplines (60 m hurdles, high jump, shot put and long jump), our sportswoman was the fourth losing to the athlete from Kazakhstan. However, the win in final 800 meters hurdle allowed I. Velikhanov to step up to the third podium. Another bronze was won in the 4X400 meters relay race. O. Hudaybergenova, V. Meredova, M. Rozymova and I. Velikhanov repeated their result achieved during Ashgabat 2017 Games.
