Competitions in five national sports, including chekshme, duzzum, gyzyl tayak, sapanagty and halkan atmak as well as darts, a British game of accuracy took place at the Cheshme recreation and health promotion centre in Geokdere. Teams from 10 children’s health promotion centres participated in the competitions organized by the Ministry of Education, the State Committee for Sports, Turkmenistan Youth Physical Culture and Sports Organisation and Archabil Etrap Khyakimlik. Representatives of the Nesil children’s health promotion centre demonstrated the best results. They won the first place in darts contest and three bronze medals in chekshme, gyzyl tayak and halkan atmak competitions. The team representing the Chinar children’s health promotion centre took the second place and the team from the Altyn Yyldyz children’s health promotion centre won the third place. An intellectual contest and non-competitive events, in particular the national games Ayterek-Gunterek and Yuzukbukty were organized within the framework of the competitions. On June 15-16, young holidaymakers will participate in the Neutrality Challenge Cup, within the framework of which they will compete in nine sports, including volleyball, basketball, mini football, swimming, table tennis, chess, checkers, athletics and the national game duzzum.
