President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov initiated a new popularization campaign organized within the framework of the Ashgabat-2017 project to strengthen the principles of a healthy lifestyle in the society.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers that discussed the pressing issues of the state affairs and reviewed several draft documents.

In his letter, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, extended congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries.

The Executive Committee of the Fund has been founded in Turkmenistan that will be chairing the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) in 2017–2019. The relevant Decision has been signed on Friday by the President of IFAS, President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the Government session.

In Ashgabat, the third session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Hungarian commission for economic cooperation was held at the Ministry of Economy and Development. The delegation has arrived led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Istvan Mykola. From the Turkmen side, heads and representatives of departments took part in the meeting.

Today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has hosted a briefing to discuss the outcomes of the talks that took place between President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres during his working visit to Turkmenistan.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of some members of the government, heads of some departments, Ashgabat Khyakim to consider issues, related to the country’s socio-economic development, agricultural work, preparation for the regular Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan and the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

The working visit of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres to Turkmenistan ended.

The King of Netherlands Willem-Alexander congratulated President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
