Turkmenistan is about to make new important step toward the consolidation of democratic principles in Turkmen society, further development of primordial traditions of people’s power, which Turkmen nation followed throughout the millenniums and which triumphs in new historical age. On March 25, all polling stations will open its doors for Turkmen citizens who will have to use their constitutional right and serve their civic duty electing the most deserving representatives to the Mejlis, representative bodies of local executive power and administration.

The Central Election Committee held the meeting with Chairman of the Executive Committee, the Commonwealth of Independent States Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev, who is also the Head of the CIS Observers Mission for the elections of the Mejlis deputies. The guest was introduced with preparation work held by the Central Committee under current social and political campaign that is in the final stage at the moment.

President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sent President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov his congratulations on Nowruz.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has extended his deepest condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the loss of life and injuries in the terrorist attack in the city of Kabul.
