On behalf of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) I extend congratulations to Turkmenistan on the outstanding leadership role played in initiating the World Bicycle Day, and I express my admiration for the scope of the diplomatic work conducted to unite 193 member states of the United Nations to adopt the Resolution declaring 3 June World Bicycle Day, states the letter by the President of the Union Cycliste Internationale, David Lappartient.

During the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 31, Vice-premier, Foreign Minister R. Meredov reported on the preparation to the participation of Turkmen delegation in coming session of the Heads of the Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan on June 1.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers in video conference mode where realization of the programmes of social and economic development of the country as well as some priority objectives of the state life have been reviewed.

In accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Japan is also appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of the Philippines.

In accordance with the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Ashirov Arslan Gurbanmammedovich is released from his position as the Director of the Aşgabat TV Channel of the State Committee for TV and Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and is appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turshekov Yagmur Byashimovich is appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for TV and Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.

In accordance with the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen State Publishing Service Iyaberenov Nursahat Yagmyrovich is released from the position of the Acting Chairman of the Printing Centre of Turkmenistan of the Turkmen State Publishing Service.

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the session of the State Security Council where the outcomes of work of military and law enforcement agencies for five months of the year have been reviewed as well as the objectives of further improvement of the activity of these structure has been outlined.

Regional ministerial conference “Proper Management and Economic Interrelation – Advanced Practice in OSCE Region”, which brought together representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and well member states of the OSCE, started work in the capital.
