President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Dushanbe for participation in high-level conference “Water for Sustainable Development”, had a meeting with the Head of Executive Power of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdulla Abdulla.

In the framework of the High Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” 2018-2028, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Ecological policy of Turkmenistan was separate subject of the speech of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at International High-Level Conference dedicated to the UN Decade of Action “Water for Sustainable Development in 2018 – 2028”.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov named the activity of the International Fund for Saving of Aral Sea as an important aspect of water diplomacy in Central Asia. The Head of Turkmenistan paid special attention to this subject in his speech at International High-Level Conference on Water Issues in Dushanbe.

Speaking during the High Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” 2018-2028, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the importance to achieve the reasonable balance between the economic affairs and preservation of water resources and their efficient management.

Early in the morning on June 20, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left the Turkmen capital for the Republic of Tajikistan to take part in the High Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” 2018-2028.

On June 20, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is going on a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan to attend a High-Level International Conference on the United Nations International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” in the city of Dushanbe.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular video conference session with the participation of the Deputy Cabinet of Ministers coordinating the spheres of construction, energy and municipal services, hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat. Issues of social and economic development of the capital and regions and course of agricultural works have been discussed at the session.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the Emperor of Japan Akihito and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe in relation with the earthquake in Osaka Prefecture that led to numerous human victims, injuries and massive destructions.
