The Khyakim of Badghis Province of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan addressed the letter to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. On behalf of the people in the region, the Khyakim expressed sincere gratitude to the Turkmen leader for commissioning the Rabat-Kashan - Kalay-Nau transmission line.

At the session of the Government on July 31, the Vice-premier, Foreign Minister R. Meredov reported in the preparation to important international events planned in nearest months. It includes the V Summit of Caspian States in Aktau (the Republic of Kazakhstan), which will be forestalled by the number of five-sided meetings of different levels. It is planned to hold the Summit of the heads of the states, the founders of the International Fund for Saving Aral Sea (IFAS), which is chaired by Turkmenistan at present.

In the beginning of July, before High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in the UN Headquarter under the aegis of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), specialists of the Ministry of Finances and Economy exchanged the opinions the adaptation of the Sustainable Development Goals in our country on national level.

New page has been entered in the chronicle of Turkmen – Afghan friendship – power line Rabatakshan – Kalaynau was put into operation. According to the order of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the delegation of our country composed of the representatives of relative ministries, departments and mass media took part in the opening ceremony of the new power line.

The 73rd General Assembly is the most important event in the activity of the United Nations Organization. it is to be an important step in steadfast consolidation of international efforts for the solution of key objectives of the global agenda, assertion of the leading role of the UN in protection and consolidation of universal peace, stability and safety, realization of the Agenda of Sustainable Development until 2030, steadfast fulfilment of the agreements on provision of sustainable development under taken by the state achieved at international conferences.

In accordance with the President of Turkmenistan, 153 pilgrims will perform hajj in Saudi Arabia in August 5-27.
