President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is leaving on working visit for New York on September 29 to take part in the work of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received letters of congratulations from abroad on the occasion of Independence Day.

Prior the start of celebration parade on occasion of the 27th anniversary of Turkmenistan Independence, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov hold brief session of the Cabinet of Ministers in the building of the State Tribune on the main square of the capital.

Turkmenistan citizens marks the Independence Day. Early in the morning, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in flower laying ceremony to the Monument of Independence.

I would like to congratulate you on Turkmenistan Independence Day, which is first time observed on September 27! Independence is a solid foundation of the state sovereignty, unity and solidarity of the nation, - the message of the Head of the State to the nation says.

For the great contribution towards strengthening the independence of Turkmenistan, enhancement of the unity and cohesion of the people, education of younger generations; for exemplary work; and to mark the 27th anniversary of the country’s independence, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree to confer the title of the People’s Honorary Elder on the following citizens:

“I am glad to express my warmest congratulations to the people of Turkmenistan on the Independence Day. The United Nations Organization is improved by the efforts of its members, which having united under the slogan “We are the Nations”, implements its goals laid out in the fundamental Charter.in the time of global challenges as well as big opportunities, these goals are connecting and uniting links.

By the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, General Director of Art Department of the State Circus Pygy Bayramdurdiyev was awarded with «Galkynyş» Order.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the president of Turkey’s Rönesans Holding, Erman Ilıcak.

For great personal contribution towards strengthening the independence, enhancement of the unity and cohesion, moral foundations of the Turkmen society; for ensuring the continuity of spiritual traditions; for merits in educating the emerging generation and the youth in a spirit of respect for national values, historical heritage, customs and traditions; taking into account the state and public activities, long years of diligent work, and to mark the 27th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree to confer the Zenan kalby Order on the following persons:
