Spring green campaign has been started in Turkmenistan with participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. National action of tree planting, which took place all over the country, was timed to International Nowruz Day – National Spring Holiday, which is representing the generosity of nature in the period of its spring renewal and blooming, commitment to spiritual traditions and values, one of which is the care of native land.

“One of the oldest holidays in the world - Novruz Bayram - occupies a special place in the cultural development of mankind. Over many centuries, uniting original traditions and customs, the celebration of Novruz in our time has been enriched with new content, and the holiday itself has become an integral part of the cultural and spiritual heritage of mankind.

On the occasion of the International Day of Novruz, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed congratulations to President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Arif Alvi, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Hadi​ Soleimanpour, Secretary-General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture Duisen Kaseinov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Mintimer Shaimiev.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference working session of the Cabinet of Ministers where current subjects of the state life have been discussed.

The UNESCO General Director Audrey Azoulay has sent official mail with original of the certificate on inclusion of Turkmen national carpet making art to the Representative List of Intangible Human Heritage to the Government of Turkmenistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held working session with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers who is responsible for construction and industrial complexes, and heads of the some ministries.

On March 19, in accordance with the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, medical supplies and food products were sent from the Turkmen capital to Iran.

Guided by the pgood neighborly relations and humanistic traditions of the Turkmen people, in order to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the spread of acute respiratory disease in the neighboring country, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, ordering the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, as well as the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan to donate medical supplies and food products to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held working session with Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, who is in charge of cultural and informational policy of the country, and B. Ovezov, who is responsible for coordination of activity of transport and communication sphere.
