China on Monday reported a gross domestic product (GDP) increase of 6.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2020, bringing the country's full-year expansion to 2.3 percent.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, authorizing the ""Türkmenenergo"" State Power Corporation of the Ministry of Energy to conclude additional agreements to contracts signed with foreign companies for the purchase of the necessary equipment, materials and vehicles for the construction of high-voltage power transmission lines ""Ahal-Balkan"" and ""Balkan-Dashoguz"" and stations in accordance with Decree No. 1619 of the President of Turkmenistan dated January 31, 2020.

In order to successfully solve the tasks set for the oil and gas industry in accordance with the ""Programme for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan up to 2030"", the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution authorizing the “Türkmennebit” State Concern to conclude contract for the purchase of drill pipes of various sizes with Honghua International Co. Ltd. (the People's Republic of China).

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, instructing the Ministry of Finance and Economy to sell shops, a restaurant and a trading house through direct (targeted) sales in accordance with the established procedure to members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, subject to the preservation of the main profile of their activities and jobs.

Last week, 158 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

A working videoconference meeting held on January 12 brought together representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the heads and specialists of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Joint-Stock Commercial Bank ""Halkbank"", as well as the head EBRD representative office in Turkmenistan. 27 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.

To successfully accomplish the objectives specified in the Turkmenistan National Civil Aviation Development Program for 2012-2030 and to increase cargo volumes, the President of Turkmenistan has signed a Resolution authorizing the Türkmenhowaýollary Agency to conclude a contract with Airbus S.A.S (the French Republic) for the purchase of two A330-200P2F cargo aircrafts.

On January 7, the Ministry of Finance and Economy hosted a video-conference meeting with representatives of the World Bank, also joined by officials of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry.
