The capital hosted regular session of Turkmen – American business council, which agenda included the perspectives of further development of bilateral cooperation.

Past week at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan 158 transactions were registered.

Reporting during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Vice Premier D. Amangeldiev, who is in charge for the spheres of energy, construction, utilities and the the Turkmen capital, noted that in January-November, 2017, Turkmenistan exported three billion 246 million 737 thousand kilowatt hours of electrical energy.

The development of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan in January – November, 2017 is characterized by the stable growth.

In January-November, 2017, the GDP growth rate in Turkmenistan made up 6.5 percent.

During the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on December 1, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that advantages of geographic location of Turkmenistan on the crossroad of the main routes of the continent allows favourable realization of national transport resources for the provision of Eurasian connections.

The 9th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian Commission was held, which was attended by the leaders of several ministries and agencies, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the delegation of high-ranking representatives of state institutions and business circles of the Republic of Austria headed by Director General for Foreign Economic Relations of the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy Franz Wessig.

In the conference hall of the hotel ""Archabil"" the Turkmen-Austrian business forum took place. For participation in the meeting in the capital the delegation as a part of heads and representatives of official bodies and companies of Austria specialising in areas of power, mechanical engineering, agriculture and food-processing industry, manufacture of building materials, road building, transport and logistics, public health services, tourism, education and software arrived.

International exhibition of the production technologies of import substitutive goods organized by the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Turkmenistan started its work in Ashgabat. Specialized review initiated by the Head of the State is to demonstrate the achievements and perspectives of national economy in the context of the strategy of import substitution as well as innovative developments of foreign manufacturers of industrial equipment.
