The grain harvesting campaign in the Eastern region of the country, as well as in all other velayats, takes place around the clock. The tenants and machine operators in the largest region in Lebap Velayat – Chardjev etrap achieve good results. This year, they have committed to deliver more than 60 thousand tons of selected grain to the receiving points. To date, the state order for grain harvesting has been fulfilled by almost 75 percent.

Having started the mowing of the harvest later taking into account specific local climate conditions, the grain growers of Balkan and Dashoguz Velayats try to increase the rates of works by proper organization of this responsible campaign.

As for today, almost 112 thousand hectares were thrashed, which makes more than half of the fields, and 227,000 tons of food grain were picked.

Grain fields of Dashoguz Velayat occupy 157 thousand hectares, from which the farmers will have to produce 300 thousand tons of grain. Local grain growers prefer suchproductive breeds of wheat as Sahrayi, Juvan, Yoloten 3, Moskovskaya, Bat’ko, Irishka and Vassa, which have recommended themselves well in local soil and climate conditions.

The main purpose of the event organized by Trade and Industrial Chamber according the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan is to introduce the reforms in this sphere made in the country under the leadership of the Head of the State, work of shopping centres, markets, food outlets in all regions as well as facilities for provision of services to the population. The participants of the exhibition will have an opportunity to advertise their capabilities as well as to establish close business contacts.

Farmers in Takhtabazar etrap have reported on the fulfillment of their contractual obligations, having produced and delivered more than 19, 800 tons of wheat of 2018 crop to the designated centers. More than 154, 000 tons of wheat have already been harvested in the region with 22,500-plus tons gathered daily.

First 100,000 tons of grain have been thrashed since the beginning of the harvest period on June 6 by the harvester operators in Lebap Velayat.

According to the order of the Government, the farmers have to produce 1,600,000 tons of wheat this year. Harvesting conveyor works all day around without any interruption at the fields of Ahal Velayat, the largest breadbasket of the country. This year, the farmers plan to harvest 450,000 tons of selected wheat from 209,000 hectares of the fields in Baharly, Gyokdepe, Ak Bugday, Kaahka, Tejen, Babadayhan and Sarakhs etraps, which are under such high-productive breeds of wheat as Sahrayi, Bitarap, Akbash, Yoloten 1, Yoloten 3, Miras, Bat’ko, Irishka, Yubileynaya 100 and other.
