President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where priority issues of the state life as well as some draft documents have been reviewed.

On August 29, 2019, the UN Special Programme for the Aral Sea Basin (UN SPAS) was presented at the headquarters of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

At the session of the Government on August 30, the Head of the State defined the dates of important agricultural campaigns. Winter crops sowing starts in Turkmenistan on September 4 while cotton harvest campaign begins on Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary Velayats on September 11. Farmers of northern Dashoguz region starts cotton harvest on September 18.

Turkmenistan, as a member of the United Nations, sees it as a universal international body endowed with a mandate from the international community to preserve and strengthen international peace and security and ensure the sustainable development of all states and peoples.

International exhibition Türkmengurluşyk-2019 and conference “Development of construction industry of Turkmenistan, which gathered representatives of national and foreign companies, facilities and organizations from Russian Federation, France, Germany, Austria, PRC, Turkey, Ukraine, Greece and other countries, were opened in Trade and Industrial Chamber.

Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the head of ARETI International Group of Companies with the head office in Geneva (Switzerland) Igor Makarov and the Advisor of the President of Turkmenistan for oil and gas affairs Yagshygeldy Kakayev.

In her message to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Ursula von der Leyen expressed gratitude for the extended congratulations on her election as the President of the European Commission.

“I congratulate you on opening of the Türkmengurluşyk-2019 International Exhibition and Conference “Development of Construction Industry of Turkmenistan!”. I believe that the exhibition and the conference will contribute to widening cooperation in this sphere”, says President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressing participants of the Ashgabat forum.

Meeting of Turkmen leader with the Government of Singapore has raised the interest of the world leading new agencies, which announced the visit in their news lines already in preparation stage. Therefore, the attention of the world press was attracted to the meeting in the last two days on August 26 and 27.

The Foreign Ministry hosted the session of the Working Group for implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 2030 Global Agenda for Sustainable Development in Turkmenistan.
