President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a videoconference meeting with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agricultural sector, the heads of several ministries and departments. The meeting agenda includes priority tasks of the socio-economic development of the country, the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns, as well as a number of organizational issues.

The capital hosted XXII Conference of Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World. representatives of Turkmen diasporas, ethnic Turkmens from other states working in our country as well as delegates from all regions of the country took part in the forum, which was traditionally timed to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan.

Exhibition of economic achievements timed to the 28th anniversary of Turkmenistan Independence started its work in Turkmenistan. It was organized by the Trade and Industrial Chamber. This year, more than 70 exhibitors including dozens of companies, representatives of private entrepreneurship demonstrate their capabilities and perspective, high quality of production and variety of services.

The Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry hosted the award ceremony of the certificate of the World Health Organization proving the status of National Influenza Centre given to reference virology laboratory of the Centre of Public Health and Nutrition with inclusion to the WHO Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System.

Following the principles of mercy and humanity as well as on occasion of the 28th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on pardoning 868 convicted citizens.

In order to strengthen the legal foundations of the state policy in the field of environmental protection, identify the key areas of work to prevent climate change and reduce their negative impact, as well as implement international legal instruments, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, approving the new edition of the National Strategy for climate change.

In accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, A. Yazmyradov is temporarily dismissed from the post of the Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management.
