As is known, the leaders of China and Central Asia will take part in the Central Asia-China Summit on the 18th to 19th of May, which will be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi province. The summit will bring together the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan and will be the first major diplomatic event hosted by China this year.

Today, a meeting of the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan was held, during which issues related to the preparation for the upcoming elections of members of the Genesh of the village of Aba Annayev of the Karizek etrap of the city of Arkadag, appointed in accordance with the Resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan on the 23rd of July of this year, were considered.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that the «Central Asia-China» summit coming on the 18th to 19th of May in the ancient Chinese city of Xi'an attracts the attention of the whole world.
Since the first days of independence, Turkmenistan has firmly adhered to the policy of good-neighbourly relations, actively engaged in a constructive dialogue with the states of Central Asia. This can be confirmed by visits to the countries of the region, including friendly and fraternal Kazakhstan. At each of these meetings, the heads of state review the state and prospects of Turkmen-Kazakh relations, discuss priority areas for further development of cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
Turkmenistan and Tatarstan are bound by long-term partnership relations. Thanks to active multi-level cooperation, the interaction of the two countries covers new areas.
