Turkmenistan's "Galkan" hockey team started the international tournament in Ashgabat, opened today, with a big victory over the team from Bahrain, winning 8-1.

Today, the Turkmen capital hosted the opening ceremony of an international ice hockey tournament, in which club teams from ten countries in Europe and Asia take part.

Last week, 31 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Arkadag city where he familiarised himself with the activity of the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding and preparation for the national holiday of Turkmen horse to be marked for the first time in the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding opened with participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov as well as heard reports of corresponding heads.

Today, Turkmen capital will host a media forum in a conference hall of the Sport Hotel of the Olympic village, dedicated to the starting on April 15 the International Ice Hockey Tournament.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system to review topical issues of socio-economic development of the country.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations to the Hero of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, instructor-test cosmonaut, commander of the cosmonaut corps of the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities Oleg Kononenko on the occasion of his professional holiday – Cosmonautics Day.

By order of the President of Turkmenistan, for improper performance of official duties, weakening of control over subordinate structures, as well as shortcomings during the improvement and cleaning work in the city of Ashgabat, the Hakim of the city of Ashgabat, Gandymov Rahym Nurgeldiyevich, was severely reprimanded with a final warning to correct the shortcomings as soon as possible.

Key  priorities of the state policy consistently realised by President Serdar  Berdimuhamedov - systematic implementation of national programs on complex development of the country, popularisation of mass physical culture and health  movement, careful preservation of spiritual values, increase of well-being of population and intensification of constructive international cooperation found their due reflexion in the events of the past week.
