A carbamide plan with an annual capacity of 1,155,000 tons in the town of Garabogaz is preparing to begin testing and commissioning. Assembly operations, cabling work at the plant’s main electric power station, installation of pumps and equipment at a seawater plant are well underway at an accelerated pace. A gas-turbine driven generator and other facilities are being tested in a water treatment department. As part of the project, the old seaport, Bektaş, (from which products manufactured at the carbamide plant will be transported for export) in the town of Garabogaz is being reconstructed and upgraded.
