There were competitions over the sets of awards on Jiu-Jitsu, were held bouts on traditional wrestling, women futsal team game matches has started at the first half of the first competition day of the V Indoor and Martial Arts Asian Games. According to the results of first competitions the team of Turkmenistan is in a leading position in total medal standings and it is expected to reinforce till the evening. However in competition Jiu-Jitsu, in an event “duo classic” the first two gold medals were awarded to the Turkmen athletes. The first place in pair men’s competition was given to Jelilmuhammed Hojamuradov and Gimmiyev Murat and in mixed competitions Jahan Durdyyeva and Mekan Nurjikov. Patma Hojayeva and Jahan Durdyyeva were awarded with silver medals in two kinds of pair competitions: “duo show” and “duo classic”. Participation of our national team in competitions on traditional wrestling freestyle ca be considered successful. Semifinals are left in the back and the finals will be in the evening. Six of our wrestlers are among the owners of the bronze medals on traditional wrestling: two of them are in men’s team- Derya Abdyyev and Arslan Ybrayymgulyyev and four of them in women’s team- Maksuda Egemberdiyeva, Jahan Muhammedova, Gulfiyeva Jumayeva and Rano Uzakova. Final competitions on traditional wrestling will take place today they will be held in eight weight classes among men’s and in six weight classes among women. 18 turkmen sportsmen will participate in them. Representatives of our country will take part in the six of final bouts, it guaranties “silver” and “gold” in each of weight classes. Futsal tournament among women’s started on the first day of competition in Asian Games 2017. Especially Group “A” attracts most interest because of team Turkmenistan plays in it. In the first game hosts of tournament were defeated by team Hong Kong with the score of 6:1. Our team may have shown better results a number of scoring chances remained unrealized. The team may improve the problems with his condition on most recent games with Japan and China, which has played today with each other in which Japanese were powerful and won the game with score of 5:2. In the group “B” the team of Iran has beat the Palestinian team with score of 16:1.
