The GDP growth rate of Turkmenistan for 8 months of 2017 was 6.4 percent. The growth rate made up 3.8 percent in the industrial sector, 3.1 percent in construction, 10.9 percent in transport and communications sector, 9.2 percent in trade, 4.6 percent in agriculture, and 10 percent in service sector. The retail trade volume has increased by 17.6 percent. Wages, state allowances, pensions and scholarships were paid in full. Compared to the similar period of 2016, the average monthly salary in the country has increased by 9 percent.
