Currently, the organizational work is carried out in connection with the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline construction in the territories of Afghanistan and Pakistan. This was reported at a Cabinet session of Turkmenistan by Vice-Premier in charge of the oil and gas complex M.Babayev. The vice-premier also informed that the construction of a Turkmen section of the TAPI pipeline is carried out according to an approved schedule. In this connection, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov stressed the international significance of the TAPI project in the light of forming the new global energy security architecture and creating conditions for general sustainable development.
