Under the visit to Ashgabat, Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgy Kvirikashvili visited the Mejlis of Turkmenistan where he met Chairperson of National Parliament Akja Nurberdiyeva. During the conversation, the Head of Georgian Government was introduced with the structure and law making activity of the Mejlis as well as with key directions of domestic and foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan carried out by the President of the country and aimed at wide international cooperation meeting the interests of universal peace, security and progress. During sharing of the opinions on existing potential and opportunities of Turkmen – Georgian partnership, the sides noted the positive role of inter-Parliamentary relations that promote consolidation of traditionally friendly bilateral cooperation. Having given high appraisal to the achievements of Turkmenistan, the Prime Minister of Georgia highlighted constructive character of the meeting with the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and confirmed invariable commitment of his country to fruitful interstate dialog. After, the Head of Georgian Government went to kypchak where he paid tribute to the first President of Turkmenistan, having laid the flowers to the Mausoleum and visited the Mosque of Turkmenbashy spirituality. In the afternoon, the Prime Minister of Georgia has visited the Olympic village of the capital that is to host V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in September of this year. Having looked around the largest sports complex in Ashgabat, the guest expressed sincere admiration by its sizes, well-thought planning, original architectural design, functional capabilities and high technological provision of the facilities, which meet modern requirements and international standards by all parameters. Under official visit to our country, the Leader of Georgian Government also visited International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex where the guest had a chance to enjoy seeing the famous horses. Giorgy Kvikrikashvili expressed sincere admiration of the beauty, noble stature, regal bearing and briskness of ahalteke horses as well as sharp skills of Turkmen horse riders who demonstrated an excellent fancy riding.
