The oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan completed seven months of 2017, having exceeded the target figures. As the vice premier for fuel and energy sector M. Babayev said at the meeting of the government, for the reporting period the plan for oil and gas condensate production was fulfilled by 102.5 percent, processing of hydrocarbon raw materials by 101.5 percent, gasoline production by 105.3 percent, diesel fuel by 104.2 percent, polypropylene by 105.4 percent, lubricating oils by 111.4 percent and liquefied gas by 118.5 percent. Compared with the same period of the last year, the growth rate of natural and associated gas production was 106.7 percent and exports of ""blue fuel"" - 105.6 percent. Having heard the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov stressed the important role of the fuel and energy complex in the economy of Turkmenistan and instructed to increase the volumes of extraction and processing of oil and natural gas, the production of a variety of petrochemical products in demand both domestically and in world markets. The head of the state instructed the deputy prime minister to analyze the situation in the oil and gas sector and take the necessary measures to accelerate the construction of plants for processing of natural gas.
