Briefing on the occasion of 50 days before the start of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan was held in the capital of the People's Republic of China. The event was attended by representatives of China's leading media, including the International TV Channel ""SSTW Russian"", the International Radio of China, the daily People's newspaper (""People's Daily Online""), ""Xinhua"" News Agency, ""China"" magazine, Lookwee , ""Vitva"" (VITVO), employees of press services of diplomatic missions accredited to the PRC, public circles, as well as Turkmen students studying in Beijing universities. The participants were thoroughly acquainted with the preparations for the Games ""Ashgabat 2017"". As noted, at present, the preparation for the Games has entered the final stage. All the objects of the Olympic town are waiting for 65 teams on their platforms. Competitions for 21 kinds of sports will be held in the corresponding facilities of the complex. Here, a number of test competitions and other significant events with the participation of foreign guests have already been successfully conducted. Speaking about the significance of the 5th Asian Games, the speakers emphasized that Turkmenistan, the foreign policy of which is based on the principles of peacemaking and neutrality, considers one of the most effective diplomatic instruments - the development of humanitarian cooperation, including in the field of sports. Conducting major international competitions in our country contributes to gaining experience in organizing similar events. In addition, it is an excellent help for the formation of reserve teams for the world championships and the Olympic Games. Answering the questions of Chinese journalists about providing information support for the Games, speakers said that the Press Center, the Center for International Broadcasts were erected in the Olympic city, all the necessary conditions for real-time transmission of materials on the course of the competitions were created on each site. The participants of the press briefing expressed their confidence that the sportsmen and guests of the Turkmen capital, including the PRC, will appreciate the conditions created by the hosts of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. As part of the briefing, a video about the preparation for the Games ""Ashgabat 2017"" was shown. The participants got acquainted with the photo exhibit, which tells about the development of mass physical culture and sports in Turkmenistan, as well as with booklets and information materials about forthcoming competitions.
