Just over 1 million tons of wheat was harvested in Turkmenistan this year. Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture E.Orazgeldiev informed about it at the expanded government meeting on the results of 6 months of 2017. At the same time, the plan for provision of grain for 2017 was 1 million 600 thousand tons of wheat. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has announced severe reprimands to the Deputy Prime Minister E.Orazgeldiyev and khyakims of Turkmenistan's velayats for unsatisfactory performance of their official duties, failure to fulfill contractual obligations to provision grain.
