Transport and communication complex of Turkmenistan demonstrates good growth for six months of 2017. This was noted at the expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country. Service ""Turkmenhowayollary"" has achieved the best indicators - the rate of growth in rendering of aviation services reached 120 percent. This indicator for freight and passenger transportation amounted to 121 and 110 percent, respectively. The material and technical base of the Turkmen civil aviation is being strengthened, for which two ""Boeing-737-800"" aircraft were received during this period. Divisions of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport have worked well during the reporting period. The growth rate in the industry was 104 percent. The plan for cargo transportation was fulfilled by 181 percent and on transportation of passengers by 128 percent. During the period from January to June 2017, Turkmenistan's communications operators have installed 226,000 telephone points, including 211,000 cellular and 15,000 stationary, while the plan was fulfilled by 186 percent.
