The construction of the Turkmen section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline is carried out according to the plan. Deputy Prime Minister for Fuel and Energy Complex M. Babaev reported this at an extended meeting of the government on the results of the first half-year. He also reported on the implementation of the ""Program for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan for the period until 2030"". According to the vice-premier, for six months of the current year the plan for oil and gas condensate production has been fulfilled by 105.1 percent, natural and associated gas - by 101.9 percent, and the rate of growth of volumes of export of ""blue fuel"" to foreign countries has amounted to 103.2 percent. Compared to the same period last year, the plan for the production of motor gasoline was accomplished by 105.1 percent, diesel fuel by 104.4 percent, polypropylene by 106.2 percent, lubricating oils by 112.9 percent, and liquefied gas by 123.4 percent. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the government to strengthen control over the implementation of major projects that will contribute to increasing volumes of natural gas and oil production, and production of oil products that are in high demand on world markets.
