President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the capital's Olympic town, having familiarized with the residential complex, which will accommodate the sports delegations of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games, the medical center and the International Broadcasting Center. White marble skyscrapers, sparkling with tinted glass, formed a whole block with well-tended adjoining territories, green lawns and bosquets surrounded by young trees. Head of State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to keep the state of these important facilities, their engineering and technical support, as well as aesthetic design under constant attention. The Olympic Village is designed for 12,000 persons. Foreign sportsmen, coaches, doctors, technical staff of delegations, representatives of the press, et al will live here. The residential sector consists of twenty 12-story buildings arranged in blocks. One of them, consisting of six houses, was built within the second stage of the building of the town and is designed for 3274 places in 1628 apartments. In 14 houses built in the order of the third stage, about 8800 sportsmen will be accommodated in 1356 two and three bedroom apartments. The size of cosily furnished rooms varies from 75 to 148 square meters. In each of the blocks there are apartments specially adapted for living of people with disabilities. The buildings are equipped with elevators, modern household and service systems. The facilities of the Olympic town also include a cultural center intended for recreation of athletes, where there is a dining room for 56 seats, a restaurant for 171 seats, a cinema for 130 seats, a cafe for 128 seats, as well as a museum, library, hairdresser, music studio, shop, consumer services and post office. Then the Head of State visited the dining room for the athletes. This central canteen in the Olympic campus is designed for 2064 seats, located on two floors. Its first floor occupies 5 thousand square meters, and the second - 4600 square meters. The President of Turkmenistan went up to the second floor of the dining room, where the nation's leader was greeted with great enthusiasm by athletes - members of the national team, who successfully competed in many competitions in different countries. The President of Turkmenistan was shown some dishes that will be prepared for the athletes during the competition. Foreign guests will also have an opportunity to try Turkmen cuisine. Turkmenistan, at a crossroads of cultures and being a producer of environmentally friendly products and a country where unique traditions of national cuisine are preserved, can become the center of culinary tourism, attracting gourmets from around the world. Then the leader of the nation went to the medical complex of the Olympic town, which includes a rehabilitation center and a research laboratory with a training center. The two-story building of the rehabilitation center occupies 3225 square meters. Here, specialists can work with 202 people at the same time. During the Asian Games, highly qualified medical specialists of various profiles from Germany will be invited to provide urgent assistance to athletes in the event of injuries. The research and training center is situated in a three-storey building occupying an area of more than 706 square meters. It is assumed that 23 people will work here. The training center is designed for 44 students. Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the International Broadcasting and Press Center of the Olympic town. This is the main information platform where hundreds of representatives of domestic and foreign media will work during the 5th Asian Games. The leader of the nation carefully familiarized himself with the conditions created in the media center, which is unique in its technical characteristics and engineering solutions. It is a 4-storey building of modern design, equipped with the latest communication systems, and automated management provides control over the state of equipment and timely high-speed information transfer for journalists around the world. Here you can also hold press conferences, briefings, expert consultations, online broadcasts, business meetings, space bridges, presentations and forums. In this facility, specifically designed for the transmission of programs related to the Asian Games and interviews on radio and television, all broadcasting telecommunications equipment is concentrated for delivery and distribution of programs, preparation and broadcast of reports from the Games, with all conditions for convenience and effectiveness of media employees. In the Center for International Broadcasting and Press of the Olympic Town, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participants of the event. Before the meeting, a video was shown dedicated to the forthcoming celebrations in Mary on the occasion of 100 days before the beginning of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. During the meeting, the leader of the nation heard reports on the work on the solemn, sports and cultural events of the Asian Games-2017, as well as on the management and effective use of the Olympic town facilities. As it was emphasized, following the results of the nine test competitions held in 2016-2017 with the participation of foreign delegations, the facilities and facilities of the Olympic town of Ashkhabad fully meet the high requirements for holding major international, continental and world sporting events. To further their competent use, it was proposed to form the Office of the Olympic Township at the Ashgabat Khyakimlik. Having approved the proposal and signed the Resolution ""On issues of managing the complex of buildings and structures of the Olympic town, built in the city of Ashgabat"", the President of Turkmenistan noted that the town's facilities will be actively used after the Games. The Head of State signed the Resolution ""On the performance of works to provide catering services for participants of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held in the city of Ashgabat in 2017"", according to which the Games Executive Committee will conclude a contract with the ""Gül"" economic entity that is part of Zaman Consortium"" and the Swiss company ""Gourmet Sports Hospitality AG"". President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again stressed that the most important task is to ensure the long-term effect of holding the Games for the country and for the whole region in the socio-economic, diplomatic and humanitarian spheres, in the field of sport, tourism, and the peacekeeping policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan. The closer the Asian Games 2017, the more attention the leader of the nation gives to the readiness of the capital and the Olympic town to this largest event, personally inspecting its facilities. A week ago, on May 30th, the Head of State inspected the arrangement of the main arena of the Games and gave directions for resolving the organizational issues of the grandiose sports festival coming in September.
