Construction of 1 thousand 900 major facilities worth over 48 billion USD is currently underway in Turkmenistan. 1 790 of them are being built by the local enterprises. In the first quarter of 2017, over 400 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned, including highly comfortable houses and railway and road bridges over the Amudarya; wellness and recreational centers; kindergartens and many other social facilities. The largest in Central Asia, the Mining and Processing Plant for Production of Potash Fertilizers constructed in Garlyk (Lebap province) stands out among new industrial buildings. Industrial giants for production of carbamide and ammonia; gas chemical complex for production of polyethylene and polypropylene are being constructed at the moment.
