Farmers of Dashoguz velayat started cotton sowing, where, according to climatic conditions, the sowing season is traditionally started later than in other regions. Traditionally, the beginning of sowing campaign was blessed by honorable elders, who threw the first seeds into the ground, and then gave way to the machine operators. On this occasion exhibitions of agricultural machinery and products of processing enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of Turkmenistan were organized. Residents of Dashoguz intend to carry out the sowing campaign qualitatively and in the optimal terms. Uninterrupted rhythm of field works will be provided by tractors of various brands, seeders, cotton cultivators. The cotton area in the northern region occupies 140,000 hectares, from which 230,000 tons of ""white gold"" are planned to harvest. The farmers of the velayat prefer such medium-fiber cotton varieties as Dashoguz-120, Serdar, C-4727, Dashoguz-114, Jeyhun and Gubadag-3.
