The meeting of the Turkmen-Slovenian Commission for Trade-Economic Cooperation, held in Ashgabat, was attended by representatives of sectoral ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Slovenia. Emphasizing the interest in Turkmenistan, which implements large-scale infrastructure projects in energy and transport-communication spheres, creates favorable conditions for investments, the guests confirmed the efforts of Slovenian companies to extend presence in the promising Turkmen market. The meeting took a stand for diversification of cooperation in trade-economic sphere. There were also brought out opinions on activization of humanitarian contacts, particularly in the line of science, education, culture, and also in the field of healthcare and sport. There are favorable prospects for cooperation in the tourism industry.
