Turkmen wushu masters won three medals in Russia

At the 3rd International Tournament “Moscow Wushu Stars -2017” Turkmen sportsmen won three prizes today, including one silver and two bronze medals. The competition has brought together more than 200 fighters from 16 countries such as China, Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, France, Turkey, etc. Competitions are held in six medal events. Turkmen fighters have distinguished themselves in the Wushu Sanda discipline. Jennet Atabaeva performing in the weight category up to 56 kilograms won silver medal. Having reached the final, our compatriot has lost to the representative of home team in the decisive persistent fight. In the men’s group Mekan Gulmyradov (up to 48 kg) and Serdar Nurgeldyev (up to 60 kg) took bronze medals. Turkmen athletes were trained for the competitions by Chairman of the National Wushu Federation, Head Coach of the National Team Yazmyrat Annamyradov. Now, our masters of the Chinese martial arts are to train for the World Cup to be held in Kazan (Russia) in autumn with the participation of approximately 1.5 thousand athletes from about 80 countries.
