Today, celebrations on the occasion of the victory of the «Arkadag» football team in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge League took place. It became a clear evidence of the fact that at the initiative of Hero-Arkadag and under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov national sports, including the football team of the new city, enter the international level.

In front of the monument «Akhan» in Arkadag city, the song and music event by workers of art and culture of the country was organized on the occasion of the victory of the «Arkadag» team, which added a unique festive colour to the celebration.

The victory gained at the international level increased the prestige of Turkmen sports. Main heroes of the event - football players – arrived in the venue of the ceremony, holding high the national flag of our fatherland, the Cup and awards symbolising the success of the «Arkadag» team. In fact, sportsmen have what to please their fans with: they became winners of the final of the AFC Challenge League, which was held in Cambodia. The title of champions means that big purposes put before sportsmen of this team, are consistently reached.

Then, players of the «Arkadag» football team headed towards the multipurpose stadium of the new city designed for 10000 spectators through avenues Akhan, Aba Annayev and Kyarizek. Football players, who have won a brilliant victory, were welcomed with pleasure and great enthusiasm by numerous residents of Arkadag city and admirers of football.

Songs and music, sounded along wide avenues of the new city, the initiator of construction of which at the picturesque foothills of the Kopet Dagh is Hero-Arkadag, spectacular demonstrative performances of sportsmen were devoted to the victory of the «Arkadag» football team in the international tournament and increased the festive mood of participants in the ceremony. It speaks of the large scale of the celebrations held on the occasion of significant events and their great importance in the life of the country and our people.

Arkadag city, which combines national architectural traditions with advanced modern practices and was recognised as the first «smart» city in the region, became a vivid example of progressive social and economic development of Turkmenistan. Numerous international certificates and awards for sustainable development, ecological compatibility and innovative solutions of this city testify to realisation of the large town-planning project at high level.

It is necessary to note that in the beginning of this year the Galkynysh Group of national horse games, created thanks to efforts of Hero-Arkadag, achieved brilliant victory at the International circus festival in Monte-Carlo, having won the Main prize of the festival and other special awards. It is one more example of the fact that every day of the International year of peace and trust is marked by historical events and great victories.

Sportsmen of the «Arkadag» football team were warmly welcomed at the square in front of the multipurpose stadium of Arkadag city. The football players who have brought joy their people, according to centuries-old national traditions, were treated to bread and salt. Honoured elders, grey-haired mothers and young sportsmen wished champions further bright achievements.  Their victory - an example to follow for novice football players.

The present celebration was full of touching moments and made unforgettable impressions on the gathered. Speakers of the ceremony underlined that the success of the «Arkadag» football team is a fruit of successful realisation of large-scale reforms initiated by Hero-Arkadag in the field of national sports, under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan.

Head of the «Arkadag» football team A.Amanov pointed out that in the International year of peace and trust, his team could become winner of the international tournament and win the Cup - a symbol of peace. At the heart of this prestigious high victory, teachings, personal examples and great commitment of Hero-Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar lie.

Thanks to efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan, true patron of Turkmen sports, in white marble-coated Arkadag city all possibilities for achievement of victories at large competitions are created, the head of the team said.  With great pride, it was marked that in a short space of time from the date of creation of the team, which bears the name «Arkadag», every sportsman has justified high trust of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, having shown a great skill of football playing in the green field, won international competitions, and highly raised the national flag.

A.Amanov requested the khyakim of Arkadag city: our football team has won the Cup and monetary prizes, becoming the champion of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge League of the season of 2024-2025. This historical day we, sportsmen, coaches and experts of the team, ask to transfer the prize money won in the international tournament, to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, which bears the name of Hero-Arkadag with proud.

As was marked, significant achievements in sport testify visually to efforts of Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to bring out the Turkmen sports to the world level.

As participants of the ceremony pointed out in their speeches, football players of the new city have won the Cup of the championship and have increased glory of Turkmen sports. At the same time, they expressed confidence that sportsmen of the «Arkadag» football team will make use of their best efforts for further increase of the prestige of our fatherland on the world sports arena.

The success of the football team of Arkadag city visually attests to the strengthening of material and technical basis of the profile sphere of the new city according to requirements if the time and training of sportsmen at high level. A great number of victories of players of the football club of the new city - evident result of their hard work in achievement of set targets.

During the solemn ceremony accompanied by musical performances, the head of the «Arkadag» football club A.Amanov handed the khyakim of Arkadag city the Cup in commemoration of victory of football players of the new city in the prestigious international tournament.

Then, the awarding ceremony for coaches and sportsmen of the «Arkadag» football team on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedova took place.

Coaches and sportsmen of the football team expressed their sincere gratitude to Arkadagly Hero Serdar and Hero-Arkadag for appreciation of victory of the team.

Inspired by wise words of Hero-Arkadag: «Achieving victory is up to you, its acknowledgement up to us!», football players assured that they will make their best efforts for successful performance at international competitions.

Then, in commemoration of the victory of the «Arkadag» football team, merry musical performances and dances performed by actors and creative collectives took place. In songs, national sports and achievements of the country aimed at new heights of development, and successful realisation of noble undertakings of Hero-Arkadag and the head of the state were glorified.

Performances of workers of art and culture became a tribute to all national sportsmen who have distinguished themselves at international competitions and to members of the Arkadag» football team, which have won the title of the Champion of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge League.

The holiday was accompanied by colourful fireworks that also increased the importance of the celebration held to commemorate high results of national sports and victory of the «Arkadag» football team.

The images created by thousands of flickering lights, illuminating the evening city located in the fine corner of Kopetdag Mountains and became a beautiful sight to announce to the world the victory of football players of Arkadag city.
